Cheryl A. Francis, LPC, CPCS, CGP (Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Clinical Supervisor, Certified Grief Professional)
Specializing in complicated grief for those who look like they have it all together, but don't.
I believe healing happens when you truly feel seen, not rushed, not minimized, and not handed a timeline for your grief.
I'm Cheryl A. Francis, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Certified Grief Professional. I serve adults across the Atlanta, Douglasville, and West Georgia area, with advanced training from Argosy University (formerly Georgia School of Professional Psychology).
My work centers on complicated grief. Grief, as I've come to understand it, is far bigger than loss through death. It shows up after divorce, infidelity, career transitions, identity shifts, relocation, and the quiet depletion of caregiving or high-demand professional roles.
Many of the people I work with are holding everything together on the outside while carrying something heavy on the inside. They are capable, responsible, and often the ones others lean on. Yet, privately, they struggle with loss, burnout, or emotional exhaustion that has gone unaddressed.
My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and built around you: your story, your pace, and what healing looks like for your life.
You deserve support that meets you where you are. I'm here when you're ready.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based, holistic practices. Sessions are tailored to your needs, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
The goal isn't simply to reduce symptoms. It's to help you regain clarity, stability, and a sense of purpose. I support you in learning how to carry your experiences in a way that supports your life rather than weighing it down.
Therapy here is collaborative. You set the pace. I provide the clinical guidance, tools, and steady presence to help you move forward.
