My name is Cheryl A. Francis. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor trained at Argosy University, formerly, Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I am licensed to perform individual, and group therapy to the community. I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, but utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet your needs. My primary goal is to assist you in obtaining your goals and regain the peace you once maintained. You will be supported in working through your challenges to achieve healthy management of your life and relationships. Those feelings of anxiety from life's stressors, take them to my space so they can be shared and leave you feeling "lighter".
As a Certified Clinical Supervisor, I provide supervision to Associate Licensed Counselors in the field.
Professional Development is one of my passions. Any given month you may find me providing trainings or motivating an organization's workers to the greatness within them via seminars or conference. (Currently using Zoom platform).
I am Certified to facilitate Mental health First Aid course for Adults.
I am a regular contributor to the West Georgia Women magazine.
Our focus is holistic addressing each dimension of Wellness to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. You are supported by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan for your specific needs.
Anxiety is the number one mental health disorder in the Untied states. Many experience anxiety on a daily basis, but because of lack of knowledge they go about their daily life without seeking treatment. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once experienced in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness which are associated with trauma are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We support you in overcoming these symptoms and guide you through the process of healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationships.
